Late misses leave Cal women with loss to ASU

By Staff and news services TEMPE, Ariz. — With the clock ticking down, Cal was in position to end its three-game losing streak at Arizona State.
Unfortunately for the Bears, that chance came and went.
Kristine Anigwe and Asha Thomas each missed a shot in the closing seconds, and the No. 24 Bears were left with their fifth loss in six games, this one a 62-61 decision at the hands of the 19th-ranked Sun Devils.
Cal (10-5, 1-3 Pac-12) erased a six-point fourth-quarter deficit with a 7-1 run that included four points from Anigwe, and the teams jockeyed for position for the rest of the game [READ MORE HERE]
