Cal men fall to Temple in Legends Classic

By Associated Press Quinton Rose scored 14 of his 23 points in the second half, Shizz Alston Jr. had 15 points and Temple defeated Cal 76-59 on Tuesday night for third place in the Legends Classic at the Barclays Center in New York.
Rose made 11 of 20 shots and the Owls (5-1) shot 54 percent, including 9-for-21 (43 percent) from beyond the arc. Alston hit three three-pointers. Nate Pierre-Louis, wh had a game-high nine rebounds, scored all nine of his points in the second half when the Owls took control after leading 32-28 at halftime.
