Santa Clara’s KJ Feagin has broken bone in thumb; Broncos lose to Washington

By Staff and News Services Santa Clara dropped two home games to open the season — and its prospects appear even dimmer now without senior point guard KJ Feagin for an extended period.
Before the Broncos fell 82-66 to Washington in the Vancouver (British Columbia) Showcase on Sunday night, head coach Herb Sendek said that Feagin is out indefinitely after he broke a bone his left thumb in Thursday night’s 61-49 loss to UC Irvine. Feagin tried to play through the injury against the Anteaters, but an MRI exam revealed the break.
Feagin averaged 17.5 points and 4 assists per game last season. The Broncos [READ MORE HERE]
