CCS football: Top defenses fuel sibling rivalry

That’s based completely on their adult passions.
Matt Scharrenberg is the defensive coordinator for The Chronicle’s third-ranked football team St. Francis, and his brother Eric is the DC at seventh-ranked Valley Christian.
St. Francis (10-0) allowed 23 points in its seven West Catholic Athletic League games (3.3 per), while Valley Christian (8-2, 6-1) gave up 27 (3.9 per game).
When the teams played Oct. 5, host St. Francis won 7-3 despite gaining only 61 yards. St. [READ MORE HERE]
