By Joseph Curl Here’s all we know for sure: A man hijacked a Boeing 727 aircraft while in flight from Portland, Oregon, to Seattle, Washington, on Nov. 24, 1971. He demanded $200,000 in cash and four parachutes. The plane landed in Seattle, the passengers were released, authorities gave the man his money and parachutes, and the plane took off again.
