A’s starter Jharel Cotton sent to Bay Area for shoulder MRI

By By Susan Slusser MESA, Ariz. – Jharel Cotton, one of the leading candidates for an open spot in Oakland’s bullpen, was sent to the Bay Area for an MRI, manager Bob Melvin said Tuesday.

“He’s going home, so there’s some concern,” Melvin said.
