Warriors sign former Ohio State center Trevor Thompson

By By Connor Letourneau Center Trevor Thompson has signed with the Warriors, Golden State announced Friday morning.

Thompson, 23, averaged 10.6 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game for Ohio State last season. A transfer from Virginia Tech, he posted a team-best 11 double-doubles and earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors. The 7-foot, 250-pound Thompson joins the Warriors, who have their preseason finale Friday night against Sacramento, after averaging 2.3 points and 1.5 rebounds for the Celtics’ Summer League team.
