Teenage bicyclist dies days after being hit by truck in Vallejo

The boy sustained life-threatening head and internal injuries when he was hit by a pickup truck and dragged about 100 feet around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday in a residential area on Columbus Parkway, south of Georgia Street, according to police. The pickup truck, a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche, rammed the boy from behind and clipped his 43-year-old father as the pair pedaled north on Columbus Parkway, police said. Witnesses told police the truck swerved from the lanes onto the right-hand edge of the roadway where the father and son were biking, according to police. The boy’s father sustained [READ MORE HERE]
