Giants blow lead and lose again as sellout streak ends

Chief executive officer Larry Baer must have sensed what was coming when he reminded a reporter two weeks ago that whenever the streak ended, the Giants still would boast one of the biggest crowds in baseball that game. Sure enough, AT&T Park was mostly full when the Giants announced a paid crowd of 39,538 for Monday night’s game against the Indians, ending a sellout streak that the team pegged at 555 dates, 530 in the regular season and 25 more in the postseason.
