Nine hospitalized in crash near Brentwood

By By Filipa Ioannou Nine people — including a 72-year-old woman and a 1-year-old child — were hospitalized after a stolen car crashed head-on into a van while driving the wrong way on Highway 4 in Brentwood, the California Highway Patrol said.

The car passed multiple other vehicles and finally crashed into a westbound 2015 Honda Odyssey van carrying seven people at Sand Creek Road, the CHP said.

A 22-year-old passenger riding in the Accord sustained major injuries and was taken to Eden Hospital in Dublin but has since stabilized, CHP reported.
