Rain on the way as Bay Area temps tumble from record highs

After a day of record high heat in the Bay Area, temperatures dropped 20 degrees in parts of the region on Thursday ahead of what’s expected to be a rainy weekend, forecasters said.

By the end of the weekend, parts of the region are predicted to get around a quarter of an inch of precipitation after the series of scattered showers, he said.
