Pro-development advocate Donald Dewsnup charged with voter fraud
A San Francisco man who led a failed effort to take over the San Francisco chapter of the Sierra Club and make it more development friendly has been charged with voter fraud, District Attorney George Gascón said Wednesday.
Dewsnup faces three felony counts of filing a false document with a government agency, two felony counts of perjury and two felony counts of false voter registration.
“I’m shocked the D.A. would harass a homeless housing advocate for trying to vote,” said Sonja Trauss, founder of the pro-development San Francisco Bay Area Renters’ Federation.
